YOUR FUNNY MAN

You might be angry
But you always have cute face
The smeared memory
And joy with fun just in case

The hollow poems of my heart
Haunt a piece of mind
For life is like a bullock cart
And want a just in kind

When will I meet you
I don`t know
But I will always be your

Hilarious, entertaining funny man.

INCIDENT 4
Postmortem
17march 2003
Daman city

Today it was a hectic schedule.  Havens, pujas everything had to be organized in a single day.  Needless to say you might be wondering why suddenly havens in the hospitals?  The answer lies in pages of my attendance diary under the date 1 march 2000.  On this day a bloody body as a case of accident had come to the hospital.  Dr. Amitabh were to attend it, he did and then sent the body for postmortem.  Unluck starts when the body comes for postmortem.  Postmortem is such an awful job.  Initially the head is cut and brain is checked, then the digestive system and terminating with heart and lungs.  While examining the heart for a moment I felt that it was beating but the body`s temperature proved about his death.. Finally sealing everything, it was concluded to be a natural death.  After sunset, postmortem is not done. Therefore the room was closed and re examination was to be done, the next morning.  That night something happened, security guard and the doom boy were very badly beaten up.  The next morning they were found wounded and lying in blood pool. The doctor on duty said he did not hear anything.  The doom boy on gaining consciousness uttered-“aatma” got a very bad scolding from me.  Police came, enquired and left.  Now since then in every two day the hospital working staff started facing problems.  The ward boys were unusually beaten, the scissors and forceps disappeared, and the receptionist got blank calls and sometimes fake calls of
Accident cases, the ambulances were unimportantly disturbed.  After 15 days, on a serious note Dr. Amitabh was attacked, he suffered head injuries went into a state unconsciousness.  When he regained consciousness, he started bluffing and muttering nonsense, started speaking about some man named Dinesh.  On examining his words it was understood that he is confessing on killing a patient as neglection.  Our head doctor said that he has lost his brain and cannot be cured.  I immediately came towards the morgue. I asked the watchman, “Who was it?”  He silently said-“sir, the accident patient of March 1…you remember, he is taking revenge….”  I immediately went into record room, took out the file on morgue history and opened March 1.  There was no entry of the person. Photographs, report everything gone.  I checked morgue room the body was unclaimed but it wasn’t there either. All of us were in a fix.  Then I remembered it was the same person whom I had postmortem in 1992.  I checked 1992 record, he was there. The report read

“DATE: MARCH 4 1992

PATIENT NAME: Dinesh Kumar
CAUSUALTY: accident and loss of blood
….
….

POSTMORTEM TIME: 2:00 pm
POSTMORTEM AREA: Daman City Hospital

POSTMORTEM DONE BY:  Dr. Debashish Ganguly

The report itself said everything and I informed this matter to our head doctor and then today the haven was done.  Now I realize sometimes being a doctor may land you in serious trouble.

INCIDENT 3
Mrs. Joseph’s Plant

4 JUNE 1999
PLACE: Daman

Dear diary,

Interesting information to share with you.  You remember few days ago Mrs. Joseph gave us her plants to look after them as she was going to her native? There was something which I experienced for the first time.  No doubt those cute bonsai plants were cute enough to be loved. The day when Mrs. Joseph gave those plants, around 5 in the evening an old man approached us.  Vineet, my husband asked his identity and there he replied to be Mrs. Joseph`s relative.  He said he would come to water those bonsai every evening.  We thought that Mrs. Joseph did not want us give much trouble and therefore she had arranged a gardener for her plants.  He used to come every day and water his plants, but never spoke anything with us.  Finally Mrs. Joseph arrived yesterday and she was pleased to see her plants.  Vineet and I went to deliver her plants and there I told her about the gardener she had arranged; now the twist came here.   While filling the water cane in the kitchen, she told that she had asked none of her relatives to water her Bonsai.  Now that was mysterious but the very next moment we heard Vineet shout from the hall.  Both of us ran to the hall to see that Vineet stood dumbstruck.  He just pointed something on the wall.  He pointed towards a photo on the wall, the photo of the same old man who claimed to be Mrs. Joseph`s relative. The photo read “IN REMEMBRANCE OF MR. SAMEUL JOSEPH” and below that “1940-1989”.  A freaky feeling ran down our nerves.  Mrs. Joseph told us that bonsai plants were his favorite and few days before was his 10th death anniversary.  Vineet and I did not disclose anything to her and we pretended to be very stupid for the behavior.  Guess what?  We came home and wondered about it silently and now today morning both of us pretended that we have forgotten everything but the feeling still persists.

Haunted lies

INCIDENT 2
The Red Carpet

29 August 2002,

Sometimes being a fashion freak may lead you through many life menacing experiences.  I came to know it yesterday.  Few days ago as I mentioned on ‘22 August’ page my husband surprised me by gifting a beautiful red carpet.  I loved it and decorated my drawing room floor with it.  My son Rehan already started enjoying its smoothness. But the enjoyment lasted for few moments.  The carpet turned out to be haunted.  The first stroke came on 23 August morning after my husband left for office and Rehan went to school I noticed some scratch marks on the carpet,  as habituated I suspected Rehan but on clean observation , they looked like the nails of a ferocious wild animal.  After my husband returned we discussed it secretly as Rehan refused on spoiling it.  The next incident took place on 25 morning, the carpet used to be distorted every day since 25 and finally on 27 august we decided to investigate. After pretending to be asleep we came to the dark drawing room tip toeing and to our utmost horror we saw that two strangers along with an animal are playing on it… my husband thought it was Rehan and switched on the lights and the next moment, there was absolute silence.  Guess what?  There wasn’t anyone….not even Rehan, for next hour we were in a comma and then my husband got up, picked the carpet and folded it in four.  He walked towards the balcony and threw it far into the beach and after minutes the mighty waves carried it.  Perhaps a hallucination but I saw those three figures waving us or perhaps thanking us….do you have any explanation to this?

Haunted lies

INCIDENT 1
The coolie
Date: 13 May 1992
Place: Daman Station                                                                        Time: 11:00 pm

Dear diary,
Indian traditions perhaps include late running trains since Robert Clive`s era.  Within few passengers who were left, I was most frustrated, for I had got posting in this monotonous place for research on Paleozoic era skeletons which were discovered recently from the beach side. As I got down the train, I started searching for station master`s cabin, so that I can at least telephone or tar a message to my family, on the plat form there was absolute silence, not even a single tea seller, do you believe? How to search a rickshaw then? Dense fog with faint burning smell in air made vision more difficult.  With strong voice I shouted “Coolie”. No response.  I tried again, this time louder “Coolie…Coolie”. And finally a red kurta and white dhoti figure emerged from the fog.  He was pretty old but looked habituated to the strain; more over what I had was just two suitcases.  He came near me and said-“Jee sahib”.  I spoke in stern voice-“saman bahar tak le chalo”.   He nodded his head in obedience and picked up the suitcases.  Slowly walking we came out of the station, not a single rickshaw.  I asked him about station master throughout the way but he did not speak much.  In the cold and dense fog his metal shoulder band glittered faintly, it read ‘222’.  The coolie put both those suitcases in rickshaw without its driver and wiped his face with the gamcha around his neck.  I took out my wallet and asked-“kitna hua?”  He just smiled and said-“ Bees rupaiya sahib”, I paid him twenty rupees and then he disappeared in the dense fog.  After 10 minutes an ambassador passed the way, the man stopped on seeing me. He offered lift and I accepted it. My destination was blue resort which was 20 minutes from the station. What happened was that my eyes fell on the newspaper lying on the deck of the car, the gentleman was kind enough to offer me and I just glanced through it… the third column on extreme right read-
Mysterious death of Coolie: Today a Coolie identified as Asmal, was mysteriously found dead near the Daman station.  He worked under the tag 222……’
My God……he was the same then….but how??????

Rabindranath Tagore: the poet of India and universe

Whenever it comes to a distinctiveness of world poetry Rabindranath Tagore is the first one to be remembered.  The novel prize awardee has given world its most impressive gift.   Rabindranath Tagore`s work include an empathitical approach to the nature as well as to un cared beings of world.  His novel works beautify and lionize the unseen passage and glimpses of India during the mid 20th century.  The untorn pages of history have the maximum appreciation of Rabindranath Tagore.   His vision of seeing the nature cannot be achieved by any other poet or any other personality.  The one and only talent even lives today as a small flame in people’s feeling through his works and poems.   Gratitude to Rabindranath Tagore cannot be articulated in words.  .

Born on 5th may 1851 in Kolkata, Rabindranath was the 14th son of Debendranath Tagore and Sharadasundari Devi.   In his brief history his first loss was that his mother expired at his age of 12, but this unpleasant incident did not daunt Rabindranath Tagore and he sustained his passion of writing poems and novels.  His former schooling took place in St. Xavier’s school with his most number of publications in a magazine.  As a boy Rabindranath was very warmhearted towards environment and wrote many short stories on nature, and then slowly he shifted to social vision.  His vision towards the viewpoint in society was quite different.   He believed that if independence struggle be supposed to launch it should begin form the humanity itself.  He encouraged widow- remarriage and dispirited child marriage, this he started by breaking the very own rule of his house i.e. by the marriage of his son Rathindranath with a widow Pratima.  Rabindranath married Mrinalini Devi at the age of 22 and had 5 children, the eldest one was a daughter- Madhurilata and then it was his son- Rathindranath, the youngest were two daughters’ Renuka and Mira and his youngest son was Samindranath.

Some of Rabindranath`s admirable works include the stories of Ghare Baire and chokher bali.  And the N.C.E.R.T books contain one of his most touching poems- ‘I cannot remember my mother’ which was written by him soon after his mother’s death.  The years 1904-1920 served as a great melancholy to Tagore.  His wife- Mrinalini, his daughter Renuka and son- Samindranath dies lethal death to diseases of tuberculosis.
In his lifetime Rabindranath traveled to many countries of Europe, Japan and china.  He met many personalities like Helen Kelar, Victoria Ocampa, sculptor spitz, viceroys and presidents.  His poetries and stories act as an inspirational sources and divine peace to those disturbed and to those who are without solace.  His noble personality is respected all over the world with a motivation to poets and artists.  Apart from poetry and literature Rabindranath also shaped some excellent drawings and paintings visualizing the outermost society and internal feelings of life.

Some of Tagore`s works include eminent plays of prithvirajyar parajya, abhilaash, banaphul, jnankhaner o pratibimba, kabi kahini, bhagnahriday, manmoyi, bhagnatari, bhagnahriday, valmiki pratibha, rudrachanda, bahu- takuranir hat, binodini, chokher bali, smaran, gora, panchabhut, kanyagranthavali  etc.  One of Rabindanath Tagore’s poetry jana-gana-mana is the National Anthem of India and aamar sonar bangla is the National Anthem of Bangladesh.  The most significant work presented by Tagore is Geetanjali, the collection of poems with a touch of emotional feelings.  It is probably the most famous work gifted by Tagore to the world.  People all over the world came to meet Tagore after this publication of Geetanjali.  For this luminous work Tagore was awarded novel prize for literature becoming the first Indian to win novel prize in the year 1914.  In 1918 due to this astonishing work Rabindranath was given the designation ‘Gurudev’ by Mahatma Gandhi.

The alliance between Mahatma Gandhi and Gurudev started since the year i915, they exchanged numerous letters and debated through newspaper.  In the year 1919 both expressed sorrow over the Jallianawala bagh massacre through telegrams and letters.  Through this in the year 1920 the institution started by Tagore- Viswa Bharati becomes internationally famous. In 1930 Tagore turns totally towards paintings and artistic works, today in Shantiniketan Tagore`s paintings can be observed in the atmosphere, the paintings reflect an aura of discipline in the life of Tagore. In 1925 the meeting between Gandhi and Tagore to discuss the significance of khadi itself is a symbol of Tagore`s disciplined nationalist feelings and lifestyle.

Rabindranath Tagore`s visualization towards the ambiance is an inspiration today for world authors to achieve his perception.  Tagore was an appreciator of environment and did many measures to protect it.  He introduced two main festivals in shanti niketan- halakarshana and vriksharopana.  Tagore introduces many streams of study in viswa bharati and many other institutions for the acknowledgment of these streams.  Some of these include kala bhawan, havells hall and china bhawan introduced in the year 1937.

In the year 1939 a very famed book named Rabindra rachnavali appreciating the splendor of Rabindanath Tagore`s works of his era are published.  Mahatma Gandhi many times visited Shantiniketan during Tagore`s illness in the year 1940.  This event took place on 26th September 1940.  In the year 1941 Tagore was designated with the title ‘Bharat Bhaskar’ by a king in Tripura, he then moved to Jorashanko Takurbari, the place where he was born and raised, there on 30th July 1941 he dictated his final poem and then on one poignant morning of 7th August 1941 the immense personality Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore expires in an upstairs room of Jorasanko Thakurbari, where he was born and raised.  His end does not symbolize the end of Indian poetry but to a certain extent it is an expectation from Tagore himself that he is to be succeeded by one more skilled than him.  Tagore eternally resides not only in the heart of inhabitants of Bengal but in the heart of world wide poetry lovers. At the closing stages few of Tagore`s beautiful and famous lines are remembered-
“Give me the supreme faith of love,
This is my prayer.”

FACTS FOR YOU

hi friends, let me share something interesting to you........
THE NOBEL PRIZES ARE WIDELY REGARDED AS THE SUPREME COMENDATION IN THE WORLD TODAY. WELL I GUESS VERY FEW PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THE ORIGIN OF NOBEL PRIZE. WELL, IT ORIGINATED DUE TO AN ACCIDENT .  ONE DAY ALFRED NOBEL WAS GREETED WITH HIS PHOTO IN THE NEWSPAPER , BUT THE POINT WHICH MADE DIFFERENCE WAS THAT THE PHOTO HAPPENED TO BE IN THE OBITUARY COLOUMN. HE WAS DESCRIBED AS ‘THE MERCHANT OF DEATH’ AND ‘DYNAMITE KING’ EVENTUALLY WHEN HE CAME IN CONTACT WITH HIS FEELINGS HE KNEW THAT PEOPLE WOULD SURELY REMEMBER HIM BY THESE NAMES AFTER HIS DEATH AND THUS HE STARTED WORKING TOWARDS PEACE COLLABORATION WITH ROYAL SWEDDISH ACADEMY OF SCIENCES WHICH LATER PUT FORWARD THE  OPPORTUNITY BEFORE SIR ALFRED NOBEL TO DRAFT NOBEL PRIZE BEQUEST AND THUS NOBEL PRIZES CAME INTO BEING.
NOW LET US HAVE AN IDEA UPON NOBEL LAUREATES IN CHEMISTRY.  THE PRIZE CONSTITUTES OF A GOLD MEDAL, 1.3 MILLION US DOLLORS AND A DIPLOMA IN THE FEILD OF CHEMISTRY.  AS A PART OF CUSTUMORY THE PRIZE MONEY IS DONATED FOR SOME SCIENTIFIC OR HUMANITARIAN CAUSE BUT IT IS NOT MANDATORY, THE ULTIMATE RECOGNISATION IN THE FEILD OF CHEMISTRY HAS BEEN AWARDED TO VERY RARE THEORIES AND EXTRAORDINARY FINDINGS IN THE FEILD OF CHEMISTRY.   ONE OF THE FAMOUS RESEARCHER, ALBERT EINSTIEN WAS AWARDED NOBEL PRIZE FOR HIS THEORY IN 1921, FOR WHAT WE KNOW TODAY AS THE THEORY OF PHOTOELECTRIC EFFECT. IT IS ALSO IMPOSSIBLE TO FORGET MADAM CURIE WHO RECIEVED THE NOBEL PRIZE IN 1911 FOR HER EXTRAORDINARY WORK IN HER THEORY OF RADIOACTIVITY WHICH LED TO DISCOVERY OF TWO ELEMENTS RADIUM AND POLONIUM, HER HUSBAND,PIERRE CURIE TOO CONTRIBUTED IN HER WORK AND THEIR DAUGTHER IREANA TOO GOT NOBEL PRIZE FOR HER CONTRIBUTION IN MADAM CURIE`S THEORY WHICH WAS ALSO SHARED BY HER HUSBAND DR.FREDRICH JOLIOT IN 1935. IN 2009 INDIAN ORIGINATED AND US BASED RESEARCHER DR VENKATRAMAN RAMAKRISHNAN WAS AWARDED NOBEL PRIZE IN CHEMISTRY ALONG WITH TWO OTHER SCIENTISTS MR.THOMAS.A.STETIZ  AND MADAM ADA.E.YONATH, FOR THEIR RESEARCH ON BIO CHEMISTRY. THE THEORY STATED THAT RIBOSOMES ARE SITES OF PROTEIN SYNTHESIS AND ARE THE PLACE WHERE RNA IS TRANSLATED TO PROTEIN.  THE HALL OF FRAME ALSO INCLUDES  DR. FREDRICK SANGER, MR. LINUS PAULING AND MR. JOHN BARDEEN.
THUS IT IS NEEDLESS TO SAY THAT THE PATH TO SUCCESS DOES NOT END WITH A NOBEL PRIZE, IT IS JUST THE PASSION WHICH KEEPS THE FIRE OF KNOWLEDGE BURNING AND HISTORY STANDS AS A WITNESS THAT ALL NOBEL LAUREATES HAVE PASSED A FINE FIRE TEST BEFORE TURNING INTO THE NOBEL STEEL, THUS THEY STILL CONTINEU TO WORK AND BESIDES HONOURING IT TEACHES US A QUALITY-THE QUALITY OF WORKING ON AS SAID BY A FAMOUS PHILLOSOPHER-THE BEST WAY TO WIN IS WE MUST NOT QUIT WHEN WE ARE NOT ABLE TO FACE BAD TIMES.

so what do you have to say???.......
